Global Minimum Wage
A collection of editorial banknotes aimed at promoting a hypothetical global minimum wage.
This project was done in collaboration with Environmental Science students. They were given the task of finding a way in which China could reduce its carbon emissions. Their solution was a global minimum wage that would increase the cost of manufacturing single-use products in factories thus reducing the number of factories producing emissions and encouraging the production of better more sustainable products.
This editorial piece was created to go out to the CEOs and head management teams to encourage them to see the benefits of the new laws and think more about the people who work for them.

In China, envelopes embossed with gold foil containing money are often given at celebrations. I wanted the container for the editorial to be irresistible to those receiving it and stand out.
This money wrap contained the notes within the envelope. The text describes the details of how the minimum wage will work.
Each bank note has two sides, one with a workers wage before the new law and one after with additional information about the new wage found on a wrapper. The aim of each note is to create a more personal viewpoint to a law that would affect millions of people.
